Purugganan delivers his keynote address |

The
ManilaCon@911:Business@Risk
opened with a bang Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the
Intercontinental Hotel in Makati with an estimated 400
delegates, sponsors and guests in attendance. The conference was
keynoted by Undersecretary Abraham Purugganan, Deputy
Presidential Adviser and Head of the Task Force for the Security
of Critical Infrastructure (TFSCI). Several
other foreign security experts from Singapore and the United
States including renowned European white-hat hacker Van Hauser
delivered timely tips and tricks on how to defend and secure
one's information systems against hackers and other forms of
virus attacks. The
second day was highlighted with the presence of Secretary
Virgilio Pena, Chair of the Commission on Information and
Communications Technology (CICT).
