Dear IT Security Colleague,
The greatest security challenge facing this country lies just around the
corner.
And it is this: "How do we ensure that the 2010 election is
secure?'
To meet this challenge, the Information Systems Security Society of the
Philippines (ISSSP) and the Commission on Information and Communication
Technology (CICT) have seen fit to schedule a series of round-table
discussion/forum on:
|
|
|
What: |
"Ensuring the security of the
2010 Election" |
|
|
|
When: |
September 11, 2008 (1:00pm to
5:00pm) |
|
|
|
Where: |
National Computer Center (NCC)
NCC bldg,, C.P. Garcia Avenue,
U.P. Diliman, Quezon City |
|
|
|
REGISTRATION IS FREE!
. |
|
And you are cordially invited to attend,
share your thoughts and help secure the future of the computerized
election in 2010.
.
For this
round-table forum, we have invited key people concerned with the
National Election and also experts on information systems security in
this country. |
| |
Among the topics we have lined
up for discussion are:
1. Who's in charge of
securing the computerized election? Or ensuring its
credibility, from voter's registration to voting,
counting, transmission, consolidation and timely and
immediate reporting of correct and appreciable results.
2. Who's in charge of
security auditing and ensuring that standards
of
performance are prescribed, agreed and understood by all
concerned.
3. Who's in charge of
contingencies: as in "if anything can go wrong,
it will." |
|
|
|
.
See you on Thursday, September 11, at the
NCC audio visual room.
.
Seven years ago, on this day, the greatest
security breach in the history of the world happened. With your help, on
September 11, we can start a whole new cyberworld, where we can address
and contain any security threat, starting with the 2010 computerized
election.
Sincerely yours, |
|
